HarvRESt Final Event: Scaling Renewable Energy Solutions for European Farming

After three years of research and demonstration across Europe, HarvRESt will present its full set of results in Brussels — and show how they can support the deployment and scaling of renewable energy in European agriculture, well beyond the project's lifetime.

On Thursday, 3 December 2026, the HarvRESt consortium invites farmers, advisors, researchers, energy developers and policymakers to its Final Event "Scaling Renewable Energy Solutions for European Farming" in Brussels. (exact Venue to be decided).

Through a combination of presentations, round tables and networking opportunities, the project will demonstrate a simple but important message: renewable energy sources can be integrated into agriculture without compromising food production.

Getting there, however, takes more than technology. HarvRESt's holistic approach combines technical solutions with viable business models and genuine stakeholder engagement, supported by data-driven tools that enable better decision-making for farmers, advisors and policymakers alike.

During the event we will discuss how these pieces fit together in practice, and to what extent the results, tested in Use Cases in Spain, Denmark, Italy and Norway, are replicable and scalable across the EU.

The afternoon is designed to connect research, practice and policy. Alongside the presentation of the project's key results, tools and lessons from the pilots, the programme features a keynote speech, a round table with the Use Cases, a session with sister projects on complementary approaches and future synergies, and a closing policy round table asking a deliberately open question: what does Europe need next?

Whether you work on a farm, in a lab, in an energy company or in a ministry, if you care about the intersection of agriculture and energy, this afternoon is for you.
