14 Practice Abstracts to guide the green energy transition on European farms

In the HarvRESt project, we are proud to announce the release of 14 newly developed Practice Abstracts. The Practice Abstracts are practical, evidence-based summaries designed to support the integration of renewable energy in agriculture across Europe.

Each abstract focuses on a specific challenge or solution. Topics span from AI-driven energy forecasting and farm-level biogas planning, to business models, stakeholder engagement strategies, and tools for assessing soil health and sustainability.

Together, these outputs form a comprehensive resource for anyone involved in Europe’s agri-energy transition, whether planning an on-farm solar installation, exploring agri-biogas, or seeking ways to engage local communities in sustainable energy.

With these Practice Abstracts the HarvRESt consortium is turning complex scientific work into tools that are useful, understandable, and replicable, all while contributing to EU climate goals and rural development strategies.
